The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 几乎没有人物刻画 没有对话的电影。在欣赏静默里，听此起彼伏的鼾声。
没睡着，拍得挺诗意。一些空镜很好看，加上声音，有种空灵的美。就是没太想明白，探洞与人类生命之间的联系到底是什么。【BJIFF2021】

不能赞同导演的艺术取向。过了几个月之后再回想觉得这个电影也还是有点意思的。不过，观影过程真的是咖啡推销片。
4.9 人类瑰宝 固定机位我全部喜欢，绝美。这片让我知道声音也是有记忆的，浪花拍岸的声音让我想起从前喜欢过的那些海岛的浪花与水声。探险的部分有点太多了，再剪掉一点，就无懈可击。审美真是天注定，导演的审美太好了。

众人知道苏炳添奥运会刷新成绩的光面，又或许，这次会让人记得苏桦伟的暗面。
